Situated in Borrisokane in North Tipperary, Seymour Organic Farm produces and sells organic lamb & beef directly to the consumer all year round.
Sheepwalk Organic Farm is:
As this is an organic farm we work as close as we can with nature. Stock numbers are directly related to the natural grass growth on the farm.
No chemical fertilizers or sprays are ever used on Sheepwalk Farm. To maintain soil fertility, composted farm yard manure from the straw-bedded sheds is spread on the land in late summer where silage has been cut.
Fields are cut & grazed in alternate years. This ‘rotation’ helps to build up soil fertility naturally. These methods in turn contribute to the preservation of the traditional grasses, clovers & herbs in the fields.
